Distribution of volcanic products in western Bolivia. Pink = Neogene tuffs, brown = Neogene lavas, red = Quaternary lavas, grey = salt flats. Note Tunupa volcano just north of the salar de Uyuni, the furthest easterly Quaternary stratovolcano on the Altiplano. Soniquera and Uturuncu are the eastern stratovolcanoes furhter south in the Altiplano-Puna region.
